Drata Leadership Update

A few months ago someone asked me to describe Drata in one word. Easy to do: Trust. Trust is at the center of what we do at Drata; our purpose. Trust is engrained in the DNA of our company, and in less than 2 years it’s what’s driven world-class execution, unprecedented growth, hundreds of employees, thousands of customers, and an open compliance automation revolution.

Today, I’m incredibly excited to announce two strategic additions to our team that together are a force multiplier, allowing us to accelerate even faster to achieve our vision of being the Trust Layer across the internet.

Drata’s Cofounder, Troy Markowitz, has been promoted as the company’s first Chief Operating Officer. As COO, Troy will harness the collective knowledge from across the organization to create systems that elevate the entire company. Troy’s leadership and experience as Co-Founder and CRO have provided broad exposure across the business and the understanding of which levers make each functional area thrive, and how they can be coordinated to propel the business forward. His intimate knowledge of interdependencies across the company will allow him as COO to orchestrate new systems and processes to help Drata achieve critical milestones ahead

I’m equally excited to announce today that Adam Aarons has joined Drata as Chief Revenue Officer. A seasoned sales executive with extensive knowledge of the risk and compliance space, Adam is well known and admired for his time as the CRO of Okta. Under Adam’s leadership, Okta grew from a $1M startup to a publicly traded $300M+ ARR category winner. Adam helped catapult the company into the juggernaut it is today, and I have no doubt that he’ll play a massive role in shaping a similar future for Drata. Adam had previously been an active advisor to Drata, and now joins us full time to drive revenue at scale as we continue to accelerate our hyper-growth trajectory.

I couldn’t be more optimistic for the future, and have full confidence these strategic changes put Drata in position to win the market as we aim to build an enduring category-defining company.
