After a not-so-seamless first year doing SOC2 type 2, we were promised that the audit, review and evidence gathering process would be much smoother the second year. To our surprise, we found that our auditor was unfamiliar with the Drata platform. The auditor did not know how to navigate the platform and piled roughly 40 hours worth of evidence collection work on my team. Because we were on a tight timeline, we had to do the work. We do not plan on using A-LIGN again after this experience.
