The Challenge

Conduktor provides real-time data security solutions to businesses, including financial services and government entities across the U.S. and EMEA. With a small team focusing on product development, engineering, and sales, efficient compliance management is crucial for maintaining trust and credibility with clients.

Prior to engaging with Drata, Conduktor had no formal compliance program and only two people driving compliance including the Security Engineer and the CTO.

“We had VPs contributing to writing policies, DevOps helping with infrastructure, and our VP of People updating our onboarding guide. It was not scalable, and we were looking for a product that would help us on this journey and offer automation.” 

The Solution

Conduktor chose Drata to address their compliance and security challenges for several reasons. Drata offered a transparent approach during the initial engagement, along with a clear pricing structure and straightforward communication.

Additionally, Drata provided an easy-to-use UI and comprehensive features. These include policy management, personnel tracking and monitoring, as well as integration capabilities with existing tools and platforms used by Conduktor, such as Google Workspace, BambooHR, and AWS.

“Drata enabled us to align everyone around better internal security practices, paired with leveraging SOC 2 to apply rules with rationale and clarify company policies.”

The Results

Conduktor is now SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 compliant and will be exploring ISO 27001 later on for their European customers and business opportunities. Drata enabled the Conduktor team to close deals faster, making a substantial impact on business operations as a whole.

“From the beginning, Drata gave us visibility on our goals for compliance, the items we were missing, and how we progress over time (metrics). This allowed us to better plan as opposed to doing compliance manually. Drata was an excellent guide and is now our companion.” 

We are closing deals faster while having easier discussions about our security and compliance program, allowing us to build trust more easily with our potential customers.
