The latest AIUC-1 version is now live in Drata: the July 2026 version. This is the next step in Drata's ongoing quarterly update cycle — AIUC publishes a new version of AIUC-1 every three months, and Drata continues to keep its framework aligned with the standard as it evolves.
What you need to know
- AIUC-1 versions are tied to the customer's certification month and annual certification cycle.
- If the July version applies to a customer, it will appear as a separate framework tile in Drata next year.
- The customer's current AIUC-1 version stays in place, so existing audit work and evidence are not disrupted.
- Customers certified in other months will not see versions released between their certification and their next annual cycle.
- For account executives with customers that have purchased AIUC-1: do not enable a version that isn't applicable for that customer — doing so can cause confusion and noise. The version to enable is the one released in the same month as the customer's current certification, one year later.
The July update includes the latest AIUC-1 standard changes, along with the corresponding Drata framework and control-mapping updates. This gives customers the version relevant to their certification journey without asking them to absorb every quarterly release mid-cycle.
Why this matters
AIUC-1 is a living assurance standard, not a one-time badge. Drata's versioning approach helps customers stay aligned to the right annual certification milestone, preserve the work they've already completed, and prepare for recertification at their own pace.
