Granular RBAC is officially live and available for all organizations. This release brings greater flexibility, clearer permissions management, and more intuitive role structures.
What’s New
- Updated UI in Settings.
- Organization Members renamed to User Management.
- New Role Detail pages to view permissions for each role.
- Multi-role assignments via group roles (All plans).
- A new default role set is available to all customers.

Limitations / Callouts
- Enterprise Only: Custom roles are available but must be configured by the SafeBase Solutions Architecture team (not yet self-service). You can reach out via the support chat in the lower right corner when logged into SafeBase to request support in configuring these roles.
- Existing customers will see:
- The new default roles
- Any custom roles
- Old default roles labeled as (Legacy)
- Note: SafeBase will gradually clean up unused legacy roles over time.
- New customers will receive only the new default role set going forward.
- Legacy file-download permission controls remain for compatibility.
