Procurement and security teams are already using AI agents to speed up vendor reviews, but without a standard, sanctioned interface, they are often forced to build their own scrapers or ask vendors for one-off integrations. That also means reviewers still spend time clicking through Trust Centers manually, browsing products and sections, searching for a specific certification or report, and downloading files before an AI tool can even help.
What’s new
Trust Center visitors can now connect their AI tool directly to our Trust Center over MCP (Model Context Protocol). There’s no separate credential to create or manage. Authorization reuses the same email-based access flow visitors already use to view the portal.
Access is read-only and scoped exactly like the web portal, so the AI tool cannot see anything the visitor could not already access in the Trust Center.
Available tools
- tc_access lists every Trust Center the visitor has access to.
- tc_explore navigates a Trust Center’s structure and content groups.
- tc_search finds specific facts across documents, knowledge base entries, and published updates.
- tc_document_download returns a time-limited signed download link.
Important notes
- This release is the external reviewer counterpart to the org-member MCP experience. It is for visitors reviewing a Trust Center, not internal org members.
- Which vendor a visitor connects to depends on which Trust Center they are signed into when they approve the connection in their AI tool, not the URL they enter.
- Visitors with access to multiple vendors need to sign in and authorize access separately for each one.
- This currently works only in production environments.
- Supported AI tools include Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex CLI, Windsurf, and VS Code, all using the same MCP URL for every vendor’s Trust Center: https://app.safebase.io/api/trust-center/mcp.
- The feature is rolling out to public Trust Centers starting today over the next two weeks.
